Hiking Distance: 6 km

Hiking Time: 3–4 hours

After breakfast, you will drive from the hotel to Lemosho Gate, where registration with Kilimanjaro National Park is completed before starting your trek. The trail passes through lush montane rainforest, home to towering trees, colorful birds, black-and-white colobus monkeys, and other wildlife.

The gentle ascent makes this an excellent first day for acclimatization. Upon reaching Mti Mkubwa Camp, your luxury campsite will already be prepared with comfortable tents, delicious hot meals, and everything needed for a relaxing first night on Mount Kilimanjaro.

Day 2

Mti Mkubwa Camp (2,650m) → Shira 2 Camp (3,850m)

Hiking Distance: 16 km

Hiking Time: 7–8 hours

Today's trek leaves the rainforest behind as you enter the heather and moorland zone. The trail climbs steadily across rolling hills before reaching the vast Shira Plateau, one of the oldest volcanic calderas on Mount Kilimanjaro.

Along the way, you'll enjoy spectacular views of Kibo Peak and the surrounding landscape. This is a longer hiking day, but the gradual ascent provides valuable acclimatization before arriving at Shira 2 Camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 3

Shira 2 Camp (3,850m)→ Barranco Camp (3,960m) Via Lava Tower (4,630m)

Hiking Distance: 10 km

Hiking Time: 6–7 hours

Today follows the important "climb high, sleep low" acclimatization strategy. You gradually ascend to Lava Tower at 4,630 meters, where you'll stop for lunch and give your body time to adjust to the higher altitude.

After lunch, the trail descends into the beautiful Barranco Valley, where giant Senecio plants create one of the most unique landscapes on the mountain. Although you finish the day at a lower elevation than your highest point, this approach greatly improves your body's adaptation to altitude and increases your chances of reaching the summit successfully.

The day begins with the famous Barranco Wall, one of the most exciting sections of the Lemosho Route. While it appears intimidating from below, it is a non-technical climb that requires some hands-on scrambling rather than climbing equipment.

After reaching the top, you'll enjoy spectacular views before continuing across valleys and ridges toward Karanga Camp. This shorter hiking day allows your body additional time to acclimatize while conserving energy for the summit attempt

After lunch, your guide will provide a detailed briefing about the summit climb, including safety procedures and what to expect during the night ascent. An early dinner is served before everyone gets several hours of rest ahead of the midnight departure to the summit.

Around midnight, you begin the final ascent under a sky filled with stars. The climb is slow and steady as you make your way to Stella Point (5,756m), where many climbers witness a breathtaking sunrise over Africa.

From Stella Point, the final stretch leads to Uhuru Peak (5,895m), the highest point in Africa. After celebrating your achievement, taking photographs, and enjoying the unforgettable views, you descend back to Barafu Camp for a short rest before continuing down to Mweka Camp for your final night on the mountain.
